of soft hygienic tissue paper. The meeting will be held on March 24-26,
2010 at the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC), Miami Beach, Florida, USA.
The following is the Call for Conference Papers for Tissue World Americas
2010:
Authors wishing to present a paper concerning new and innovative technology
and solutions are invited to submit an abstract for consideration on the program.
Speakers are requested to submit an abstract of 100-200 words outlining the
paper to be given and the reasons why they believe that this is of interest
to tissue makers and converters. They should also indicate the preferred session
for presenting the paper, if possible.
Technical sessions are as follows:
- Papermaking Developments
- Softness, Strength and Surface Improvement
- Converting, Packaging, Wrapping and Logistics
- Stock Prep, Pulping, Fibers and Water
- Process Control, Testing and Maintenance
- Auxiliary Components in Tissue Making
These guidelines for presenters must be respected:
- Presentations must cover new, innovative technology concerning
tissue making and converting.
- Make the presentation fast, sharp and interesting. DO
NOT try to give a very detailed scientific paper. Instead, highlight
the most important points that will give benefits to tissue makers
and converters and get their attention. You can go into more details at your
booth at the show.
- Priority will be given to papers prepared in cooperation with mill
personnel.
- Presentations must be non-commercial. Your presentation
is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SALES PITCH for your company or products.
Emphasis should be on the technology and its application to the tissue business.
- High quality visual aids should be used.
- 15 minutes maximum will be allowed for technical presentations. THIS
TIME LIMIT MUST BE RESPECTED.
- Complete papers, including all diagrams and artwork, must be provided to
Agnes Gehot (please email to agnes_gehot@tissueworld.com)
no later than February 19, 2010.
- DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS is as soon
as possible. The earlier it is received, the better the chance
that it will be included on the program. Deadline October 15,
2009. Abstracts should be sent to: agnes_gehot@tissueworld.com
VERY IMPORTANT! -- All deadlines must be respected. If the abstract
is late, it may not be taken into consideration. If the final complete
paper is late, the speech may be removed from the program
