PRESS RELEASES
Tissue World Americas 2006 attracts
high quality group of tissue makers and converters to Miami
Close to 1,000 attended the March 14-17th event
Miami . . . Tissue World Americas, the leading conference
and trade show for the North and South American tissue businesses,
was very successfully held during March 14-17, 2006 in Miami Beach,
Florida, USA. The event attracted nearly 1,000 tissue makers, converters,
traders and other professionals working with the tissue industry.
The conference program was held under the theme of "Innovation,
Ideas and Improvements for the Tissue Business"
with a total of 48 expert speakers addressing this issue from various
angles of the tissue making and converting process. The well-rounded
program, covering market and business developments as well as new
tissue making technology and solutions, was very well received
by the nearly 300 delegates registered for the meeting.
The exhibition, featuring many of the world's leading suppliers
to the tissue business, attracted a very focused professional group
of tissue makers, converters, traders and other key players in
the North and South American business. The show did not feature
crowded aisles but instead it had a very business-like feel to
it with essentially every visitor who came through the door being
there to talk business about tissue making and converting. As one
major exhibitor put it: "Tissue World Americas is without
a doubt the best show I have been to in recent memory. Not only
was the show attended by most of our customers, but the level of
decision-makers present clearly sets Tissue World apart from other
events."
The 2006 edition was a contrast to the September 2004 Tissue World
Americas, which suffered in attendance due to the fact that is
was held during hurricane season and several hurricanes were ripping
through Florida at that time. In addition, numerous improvements
and adjustments made by the new CMP Asia team who took over management
of the Tissue World events from Paperloop in April 2005, led to
delegates, visitors and exhibitors being more satisfied this year.
Also the general investment activity climate and business conditions
for the tissue industry in the Americas is in much better shape
than it was two years ago and the upturn in both North and South
America tissue markets was clearly noticeable.
CMP Asia is pleased to announce that the next Tissue World
Americas will take place March 12-14, 2008 at the same venue, the
Miami Beach Convention Center. Initial bookings for stands
at the show are now being taken and suppliers are encouraged to
make bookings now to ensure a prime location at the 2008 event.
