EFFICIENCY EMBOSSING TECHNOLOGY BY WETZEL
Wetzel launches Velox and Velox Persisto at Tissue Word

Grenzach-Wyhlen/Germany, Feb. 11, 2009 - With the launch of the two embossing technologies Velox and Velox Persisto Wetzel Processing Group proves their effort to match the needs of customers in the quickly evolving and changing tissue market.

“Determining key parameters of tissue product manufacturers in our days are described by the need of permanent innovation of product designs and cost sensitiveness at the same time”, Volker Siewert , Department Manager Tissue of Wetzel says.

Both can be granted with the Wetzel Velox and Velox Persisto engraving types. A reduction by up to 75% of time to market for new embossing tissue designs, going along with a cost reduction of up to 40% compared to traditional engravings in steel are offering new horizons for tissue manufacturers.

The 3-D direct laser engraving technology behind the two product types allows a wider range of creativity of design patterns without the traditional limits. In combination with a selection of special patterns Velox enhances furthermore the achievement of preferred tactile sensation of the finished tissue product.

Velox Persisto , consisting in a metalized engraving of advanced materials grants moreover the longevity in use.

Wetzel Processing Group is confident that tissue manufacturers will appreciate the experience of the possibility of economic, short term available engravings with improved flexibility in the choice of designs patterns and on top, simplified handling with the benefit of reduced set up time on tissue manufacturing lines.

Wetzel will attend Tissue World in Nice from March 24-26, 2009, where they will also promote their capabilities in flexo-engraving allowing unbelievable reproduction and effects of photo realised data on tissue.
