Patrick Boateng

Patrick Boateng has extensive knowledge in Consumer Products Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Supply Management and over 17 years’ experience in the consumer products industry. He was the recipient of the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council "Corporate Buyer of the Year 2016" award for his contribution to the growth of supply-chain diversity by providing ongoing mentoring, coaching and supplier development support to current and potential suppliers. He earned a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication from Franklin University, USA.

Mario A. García Franco
President

Mario A. García Franco is president and co-founder of PSF, a privately owned company in Mexico that started as a tissue converter in 1958, manufacturing parent rolls, paper towels, bathroom tissue and paper napkins, actually has 150,000 MT of capacity and is second tissue manufacturer in Mexico. He serves on the BOD of Orchids Paper Products Company, is president of the Cámara del Papel and chairman of the board of GIGF. García holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from CETYS University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program 2005-2007.

Steve Edwards
Founder

USA


Steve Edwards earned a BA degree in Chemistry from Luther College and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from The Institute of Paper Chemistry. He worked 3 years at Union Camp Corporation in Savannah Georgia, in the Pulp and Environmental groups in the mill technical department, followed by 3 years at Caterpillar Tractor Company as a line set up inspector and worked 13 years at Kimberly Clark Corporation R&D center in process development. His main accomplishments were focused on developing highly efficient creping and low cost production methods. Steve’s learnings and developments have resulted in seventy patents, many of which are in operation today. He is presently retired and has his own small pulp and paper testing lab where he continues to explore the intricacies of paper making and is in preparation to patent them soon.

Lairton Goulart Leonardi

Lairton Goulart Leonardi has 40 years’ work experience in groups such as Dow, Rhône-Poulenc, Votorantim and Specialty Minerals. Lairton is currently Managing Director for Solvo Consulting. He has a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Mackenzie, with specialization courses in Business Administration from Escola Politécnica da USP, Marketing Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Business Administration Centre de Développement Proféssionnel - Insead, France. Lairton gained technical specializations in Polymers and Latex Industrial Applications from Rhône-Poulenc France, Oil Well Stimulation from Rhône-Poulenc USA, Development and Production of Coated Papers from Rhône-Poulenc France and Centre Technique du Papier, Grenoble, France. He is former President of Associação Brasileira Técnica de Celulose e Papel and he is currently its Chairman of the Board.

John Holton
Application Engineer
BTG Americas Inc., USA

John Holton has over 35 years’ experience in the tissue industry. His experience is roughly split between production, maintenance, and engineering management positions at major tissue producers and applications positions at Yankee service providers. He is currently an Application Engineer with BTG Americas and has been an active member of the TAPPI Yankee Safety Committee for 30 years.
