Fieramilanocity - How to get there

Fieramilanocity is strategically located in the heart of Milan city. Both regional and international travellers can easily travel to the city via flights, trains, buses and cars. You can view the map below for the nearest train and bus stations.

There are 3 airports in Milan – LINATE Airport, MALPENSA Airport and ORIO AL SERIO Airport. Below are public transport information from different airports to Fieramilanocity. 

From LINATE Airport 
1. Take bus no. 73 and alight at the last stop named San Babila. 
1. Please take the red underground line (M1) towards Rho Fieramilano 
2. Change to Lilac line (M5) at Lotto and head towards the direction of Bignami 
3. Alight at Portello station, just outside the entrance of Fieramilanocity. 

From MALPENSA Airport (Terminal 1): 
1. Take the Malpensa Express Train (http://www.malpensaexpress.it) towards Milano Centrale railway station 
2. Change to Lilac underground line (M5) at Milano Porta Garibaldi towards the direction of San Siro Stadium 
3. Alight at Portello station, just outside the entrance of Fieramilanocity. 

From ORIO AL SERIO Airport: 
1. Take Orio Shuttle (www.orioshuttle.com) from the airport to Milano Centrale railway station 
2. Change to the Green underground line (M2) and travel towards the direction of Abbiategrasso-Assago 
3. Change to the Lilac underground line (M5) at Garibaldi and travel towards the direction of San Siro Stadium 
4. Alight at Portello station, just outside the entrance of Fieramilanocity.

Visa Requirements

All foreigners intending to enter Italy must provide the documentation required to justify the reasons and duration of their stay as well as, in some prescribed cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodging.

In some cases, you need a visa, application for which can be made at the Italian Diplomatic and Consular Representations in your country of residence.

MICO Dmc will be glad to assist you if you need any written invitation or other document to support your VISA Application.

Invitation Letter

If you require an invitation letter to attend the Event, kindly complete the request form here, along with the required documents indicated.

Invitation letter is not enough to obtain VISA for the majority of NO-Schengen countries (i.e.: countries outside EU). You can check your status at above link.

Guarantee Letter

If you need a guarantee letter to support your visa application, be informed that it has to be signed by an Italian Inviter. To obtain a guarantee letter, you are required to follow the below procedures. Failure to present all documentations may result in a delay in your application.

1) Book and pay your room directly with MICO Dmc or via your preferred reservation channel.
2) Register to the trade show or conference and request for your visa letter
3) Submit the following documents to MICO Dmc:
- Confirmation of your hotel reservation (proof of payment for your room)
- Proof of registration to the event (trade show / conference) and invitation letter to visit the show
- Passport Copy
- Copy of your flight ticket

Upon receipt of your documents, MICO Dmc will assess the validity of the information and issue a guarantee letter to be shown to the Italian Embassy/Consulate at application


- Your visa application may take up to 120 days. Kindly register for the event and request for your invitation letter soonest possible.
- A visa application fee, between EUR35 to EUR116 per person, is applicable and should be paid in local currency to your Consulate or Embassy directly.
- Kindly note that presentation of all needed documents does not guarantee the issuance of your visa.


Please note that if you do not have a hotel booking with MICO Dmc, a visa management fee will be charged accordingly:

1 -5 pax: €50.00 per person
6 - 10 pax: €300.00
11 - 30 pax: €500.00
31 - 50 pax: €1000.00
51 pax and above: cost to be discussed

Guarantee Letter for Chinese citizens
If you are a citizen of China (RPC - 中華人民共和國 - 中华人民共和国 ), in accordance to the agreements between the Authorities your are required to obtain a guarantee letter issued by MICO Dmc as Local Organizer of the Conference.
