Accessibility at Tissue World Miami
Tissue World is the leading global event series serving the tissue industry worldwide since 1993.
The Tissue World team are working closely with The Miami Beach Convention Center to make the show as accessible as possible.
The Miami Beach Convention Center offers accessible parking, sidewalk ramps, restrooms, and elevators. New ramps have recently been installed on the Northeast entrance driveway, accessible via Washington Avenue. The Northeast entrance is the closest entrance to the Grand Ballroom.
Entrance doors to the building are equipped with automatic ADA functionality.
Braille signage has been installed outside all meeting rooms, elevators, ballrooms, and exhibit halls.
The MBCC now offers a Visual Interpreting Service via smartphone app Aira.
Wheelchairs are available for no fee, on a first-come, first-served basis at the Miami Beach Convention Center Concierge Desk (located in the Grand Lobby on the west side of the building).
Wheelchairs can be checked out in exchange for a valid ID; the ID will be returned when the wheelchair is returned.
Disabled parking spots are located on in the rooftop parking garage of the MBCC.
Valet parking services are available from First Class Parking Systems. More info: 531.4466, www.1stclassparking.com
ADA-recognized services animals are welcome at the Miami Beach Convention Center, provided they are leashed or under similar control. The owner must take full responsibility of their animal.
Menus are marked with allergen and dietary restriction identifiers such as gluten free, dairy free, etc. ADA compliant tables are utilized to accommodate food buffet stations.
For meeting planners who have accessibility requirements for their events, the MBCC have handicapped accessible equipment for staging and room sets, including a lift, a ramp, and a lectern (podium). For all other requirements, specialized services, and additional support features for Audio/Visual Meeting Technology, please contact your Event Services Manager at the MBCC.
Miami Beach Convention Center (miamibeachconvention.com) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We have launched a newly built website in 2023 to upgrade to current accessibility practices.
We urge exhibitors to install ramps for visitors to access their stands if they are building platforms.
Where carpet is used, it’s a low resistance and low pile for easy accessibility around the show.
The event is on the ground floor so all Decorex features are fully accessible by wheelchair.
Seating areas will be available throughout the show floor.
